Furs by Susan opened in 1984 as a fur salon. Over the years, the demand for other luxuriant coats heightened and our product line expanded to include other fine fabrics, leathers and rainwear from across the globe. 

To enhance our luxury outerwear, accessory lines of fashionable handbags, complimenting scarves and jewelry in classic, contemporary and trendy styles have been added to the store's offerings. 

We also offer coat storage, cleaning, alterations, repairs, reweaving, layaway and monograms. We remodel and offer alterations for an updated look.

Located in Historic Downtown Hanover in the pre-Civil War Central Hotel building, we have a fascinating history. Our building served as General Kilpatrick's Headquarters during the Battle of Hanover in June of 1863.
